Our Story
At Mindful Housing, we believe everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home and the opportunity to live independently. Since our organisation was established, we’ve been committed to providing supported housing in St Helens and across Warrington, Halton, Wigan, West Lancashire, and the wider North West for adults living with mental health challenges.
We understand that stable accommodation is the foundation for recovery, wellbeing, and personal growth. For many people, finding suitable supported housing in St Helens and the surrounding areas can be one of the biggest challenges they face. Without the right support, individuals can experience isolation, uncertainty, and barriers to living independently.
That’s why Mindful Housing provides high-quality supported accommodation alongside personalised housing-related support, helping people build confidence, develop essential life skills, and maintain successful tenancies. Our person-centred approach empowers individuals to achieve greater independence while remaining connected to their local communities.
Working closely with local authorities, NHS services, healthcare professionals, and community partners, we deliver trusted supported housing services in St Helens, as well as Warrington, Halton, Wigan, West Lancashire, and throughout the North West. Together, we create safe, supportive environments where people can rebuild their lives and look towards a brighter future.
Every individual has their own story, aspirations, and potential. Our role is to provide the stability, encouragement, and practical support they need to move forward with confidence. Through our supported housing services, we’re helping people create brighter futures, stronger communities, and lasting independence across St Helens and the wider region.
Our mission is to provide safe, supported accommodation that helps adults living with mental health challenges build stability, confidence, and independence.
We work alongside each person to create a positive housing experience, offering practical support, encouragement, and guidance that enables them to maintain their tenancy, improve their wellbeing, and take meaningful steps towards a brighter future.
Our vision is a society where everyone has access to a safe place to call home and the support they need to live independently with dignity, confidence, and hope.

How We Work
At Mindful Housing, we understand that everyone’s circumstances, experiences, and support needs are unique. That’s why we take a person-centred approach, providing safe, stable accommodation alongside tailored support that empowers individuals to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
Our supported housing model combines quality accommodation with practical, emotional, and tenancy-related support. From the moment someone is referred to our service, we work closely with them to understand their needs, identify appropriate housing options, and create a support plan that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and long-term stability.
We believe that successful outcomes are achieved through collaboration. That is why we work in partnership with local authorities, mental health services, healthcare professionals, support agencies, and community organisations. By bringing together expertise and resources, we can provide a coordinated approach that helps individuals access the services and opportunities they need to thrive.
Our role extends beyond providing accommodation. We support people to develop essential life skills, build positive routines, access healthcare and community services, strengthen social connections, and maintain successful tenancies. Through ongoing encouragement and practical guidance, we help people take positive steps towards greater independence and a brighter future.
Together with our partners, we are creating housing solutions that offer more than a home—they provide the foundation for recovery, resilience, and lasting positive change.
